Safety is our number one priority

EPC Groupe has Safety as its number one priority and begun in 2007 a program to improve its Occupational Safety performance working with Dupont de Nemours. Since then the EPC Groupe has implemented a number of initiatives to sustain the long-term aim of zero harm in the business.

These have culminated in our “Esprit d’Equipe” behaviour program which was launched in 2015. Esprit d’Equipe is the essence and culture of the way we operate and involves “Safety Ambassadors”.

The objective is to improve the safety of our team by behaviour change at work and at home.


EPC Canada is ISO 22301 certified.

EPC Canada is supported by EPC Innovation & Industry whose teams are responsible for the research and development of explosive products and equipment.

Based on the needs of our customers, we can develop conceptual formulas in the laboratory.  We then conduct pilot tests to confirm the performance of the selected solutions prior to production.  This allows us to adjust our product formulas and delivery equipment to meet our customers’ needs.

EPC Innovation also provides raw material qualification services, develops quality control procedures at all stages of production from the choice of raw material suppliers and through the production stages right through to the blast.

As a result, EPC Canada plant staff are able to ensure all physical and chemical compositions of raw materials and finished products meet the specifications and requirements of viscosity, temperature, density and mass balance.

Operations are supported by engineers who perform regular random audits to confirm quality assurance procedures are carried out in accordance with our standards.

EPC Canada products are tested in both the laboratory and our on-site test blasting area.

At EPC Groupe, corporate responsibility actions following the respect value, date back from the very beginning, more than a 130 years ago; and from its origins. EPC has been an international company. Historically French, the EPC Group is proud to have very quickly expanded its activities internationally in the respect of the cultures of its countries of establishment.

Actions around corporate responsibility followed this amazing international development, introducing EPC values on every new site and to the benefits of its employees and surrounding communities. In the UK, we have been celebrating end of 2015, 110 years of actions in favor of environmental care and improvement, helping to protect the wildlife species.

Keeping the RESPECT value we inherited from our past is a main commitment and responsibility today and for the future.
